Deliverables

What we created

The low white blocks set into the planting with the bare hill standing up behind them
The whole bay from the air at dusk, the property strung along the shore below the hills
One olive standing off a white wall in the last of the evening
A doorway between white walls with the light coming through the leaves onto it
Walking the path back between the walls, the frame half taken by the planting
Crossing the timber bridge over the water, the hill and the houses beyond
The room through its own doorway, one lamp on and the bed already turned down
Straight through the pergola with the planting closing in either side
Down onto the bed: a book held open and a drink set on the floor beside it
Leaning back on the wall in the shade with the leaves printing over everything
Two of them sat on the edge with their feet in, drinks down on the tile
The daybed read past a cocktail on the near table, someone stretched out on it
The pool from directly above, the loungers set out and the beach running past it
A coffee held at the table with the water and the far buildings behind
At the pool as the sun goes, the trees on the ridge burning out against it

The brief

How we approached it

Commissioned by SWOT Hospitality, we photographed Aulus Lindos, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, in Rhodes. The focus was the essence of the resort: its village-like layout, the suites, and the seaside setting it sits in. We delivered photography that reflects both its sophistication and its sense of calm.

Checking the back of the camera down by the water, the white blocks behind
Shooting under the arches in the courtyard, everything bleached out around her
Close in on the beach, mid-mouthful, the umbrellas and a sail out behind
Both our shadows thrown up the white wall beside the bench
Shooting out from under the tree toward the loungers and the water
