Deliverables

What we created

The brass-framed glass doors from inside, the street bright beyond and THE FLORENTIN woven into the mat
A fan palm and the pale gabled façade across the courtyard, seen from a balcony in hard morning sun
A bedside lamp warm against the wall, a hand blurred mid-reach across the white bed
A woman in profile behind a sheer curtain, morning light coming through the weave
Sitting up in the white bed with a magazine open, framed prints on the wall above
Breakfast in bed on a wooden tray: the Financial Times and the New York Times, a croissant and two orange juices
The tray set down on the turned-back bed, the reading lamp still on above the headboard
A newspaper held open over a bouclé armchair, coffee and magazines on the side table
Crossing the suite living room in a blur of movement, lamps lit against the late afternoon
Reading the paper on the balcony, the Wilhelminian façade across the street catching the sun
At the window counter with the city outside, one hard stripe of sunlight across the stone
The lounge from above: patterned rug, rattan chairs drawn up to low tables, plants in every corner
The dining room down its length, banquette on one side and the arched ceiling lit above
A table for two laid and waiting, seen past the leaves of a plant
Steak and rosemary on a monogrammed plate, the knife coming down
Cut crystal and blue-handled cutlery on marble, the drink holding the last of the light
A coupe lifted off the bar, the room dark behind it
Standing lit in the courtyard after dark, palms and the building behind going to black

The brief

How we approached it

With social media in mind from the start, we created lifestyle photography and two short form videos, each taking a different half of the stay. One goes out into Frankfurt on the hotel bikes, along the river. The other stays indoors, on the calm of the building and the slower parts of a weekend away.

Lowering a camera into the wicker basket of the bicycle on the river path
The kit laid out on linen: gimbal, tripod, one prime and a body
The rig built up on the bike rack from above, blossom petals across the paving
The green bicycle parked under a cherry tree in full blossom, a red post box behind it
The two of us caught in the glass of the hotel door, camera up
